The State Choir was comprised of more than 100 singers, praise dancers, and musicians that performed at various venues during the 2009 Iowa Juneteenth Observance.

Church Relations Committee Co-chair, and organizer of the 2009 State Choir, Reike Plecas

The State Choir is a multicultural group consisting primarily, but not exclusively, of people who sing, dance, or play instruments for churches across the state. We are always looking for lively and committed people, 18 and older, who enjoy singing in a high-energy mode that puts the “community” in community choir.
