Community Banquet

The Iowa Juneteenth "Community Banquet" helps to support the "Urban Scouting Project". This is a collaboration between the Mid-Iowa Council of Boy Scouts of America and the Iowa Juneteenth Observance. The purpose of the "Urban Scouting Project" is to increase the participation in the Cub Scout program of young urban males in the 1st thru the 5th grades.

The following will be honored at the banquet:
Pastor Dan Berry - Receiving the "Community Citizen of the Year Award"
Dr. Vincent Lewis - Receiving the "Mary McLeod Bethune Award"
Dr. Walter Riley - Receiving the "James Derham Award"

The Banquet is on June 18th at 7:00 pm and will be held at:

Cornerstone Family Church
3114 S.W. 61st Street
Des Moines, Iowa

Tickets are $30 each

Organizations may reserve a table of 8 for only $250
This will include your name printed in the program and your Organization name on the table.
